You may also be reading this and thinking that some, or all, of the statements above apply to you.
Or you may recognize yourself in your child’s behaviour and struggles.
If any of this sounds familiar to you, you may want to consider an assessment. An assessment (formally called a psycho-educational assessment), can help you understand how your child’s brain works. It will identify what their strengths are. This will help you and their teacher work with your child in a way that makes sense to them.

Hi! My name is Caroline. I help you, and parents like you, understand how to best help their child learn, grow and progress to the best of their abilities.
After teaching for many years, I felt very frustrated. Probably for many of the same reasons that brought you here. I desperately wanted to help children, but was limited in my time and resources. Helping children succeed, thrive, be happy, and be their best self is my goal. It is why I do what I do. Becoming a psychologist enables me to identify what strategies are going to be effective. It helps me be able to tell parents how to get off the hamster wheel of life and finally see progress. Using our meeting time and assessment tools allows me to make recommendations that will be meaningful to your child and your family.
If you really want to know…
I was born in Quebec City, Quebec and raised in Calgary, Alberta. I speak and write both French and English with native fluency.
I am a licensed teacher. I have worked with individuals from the ages of 4 through to retired adults. I have worked in many schools, in a variety of roles, in numerous settings (English, Francophone and French Immersion, urban and rural) in the province of Alberta. I have also taught English as a Language to working professionals in Quebec. I was mainly assigned to the Ministry of Justice.
As a psychologist and a teacher, I have worked with many students, parents and teachers in identifying learner needs, setting up IPPs and helping advocate for student needs and accommodations within school settings.
When not at work, I enjoy photography, gardening, and practice various meditation techniques such as yoga and essential oils. I am also a Reiki master from two different lineages. It doesn’t quite make me a jedi, but I think it’s pretty close.
I am a mom so I understand what it is like to be a parent and worry about a child.
I am also a mom to a very pampered dog.
